Industrial Air Cleaning

Norafin offers a wide range of spunlaced filter media for air dedusting for regular temperature applications and high temperature ranges. Due to our many years of expertise, we are able to process a wide variety of technical fibers in application-specific combinations.

  • temperatures below 130 °C: Bi-Component fibers (Bico), PET, PAN, PA
  • temperatures over 150 °C: PPS, meta-aramids, PI, PTFE

Performance Characteristics of our Products:

  • high efficiency of spunlaced nonwovens at low weights in comparison to needlepunched nonwovens:
    • 320 g/m² as more efficient alternative to 400 g/m² needlepunched nonwoven
    • 370 - 450 g/m² as more efficient alternative to 500 - 550 g/m² needlepunched nonwoven
  • better cake release due to even surface
  • high filtration efficiency at low pressure difference according to VDI 3926-II:2004
  • high durability
  • reduced energy consumption

Process Air Cleaning:

Thanks to our spunlace technology, we are able to offer a range of self-pleatable filter medias as alternative to conventional spunbond filter media in form of filter cartridges and pleated filtermedia.


Regular Temperature Applications:
For applications with operating temperatures below 130 degees, we make use of fibers such as PET, PAN, PA, etc.
To achieve media pleatability, binders could be applied or bi-compinent fibers (Bico) included in the fabric.


High Temperature Ranges:
We process fibers such as PPS, Meta Aramide, Polyimide, PTFE etc. to create filtermedias used in temperature ranges above 150 degrees, up to 260 degrees. To offer resin free medias with pleat stability even under tremendous temperature impact, Norafin can incorporate a steel scrim for excample, thanks to our unique innovative technology.

Performance Characteristics of our Products:

  • optimized filtration efficiency and flow rates
  • high efficiency of spunlaced nonwovens at low weights in comparison to spunbond nonwovens (weight range between 180 g/m² and 350 g/m²)
    • 200 g/m² as more efficient alternative to 260 g/m² spunbond nonwoven
  • filtration efficiency from F7 - F9 according to EN 779, class L, M according to IFA/BGIA DIN EN 60335-2-69
  • high durability through high mechanical resistance, stiffness and pleatability
  • energy-efficient due to low increase of difference pressure and high air permeability
  • stiffening with or without binder as well as through pleatable support scrims
  • unique, nonresinous, pleatable, temperature resistant filter media
  • innovative structures based on heat resistant fibers and steel support scrims made of galvanized steel, stainless steel as well as Inconel®
